Information on auditions, audition procedures and entry requirements for Bachelor Dance

Participation in the course is only possible after an initial online pre-selection and a positive audition result. The entry level of the Bachelor Dance is equal to the ultimate level of the students of the School for Young Talent. At this school, students are prepared for higher education in dance, while also completing a regular school curriculum.

During your audition for Royal Conservatoire Dance, we consider your technique, coordination, and musical abilities, as well as your physical aptitude and your potential for entering a career in the world of (neo)classical, contemporary, and modern dance. Ambition and discipline are crucial traits to pursue a dance career.

Furthermore, students should meet the following requirements:

  • The minimum age for all candidates is 16. Women should be no older than 18, men no older than 19, counting from the start date of the course.
  • Candidates must have been trained or educated in dance professionally.
  • Students must be in possession of their secondary school diploma or certified equivalent (or higher), by the start of their course in August.
  • Students must know English sufficiently to speak and write in order to follow the course.
