The Master Specialisation in Ensemble Singing offers you the perfect opportunity to connect the three domains of the Master project and put them into practice.
In the Artistic Development domain there are monthly theme sessions led by singers from the NKK, in addition to your individual main subject lesson. In these sessions you will work in a vocal quartet on repertoire from various style periods, with the focus always on a different theme, for example timbre, intonation and harmonic awareness, leading and following or improvisation. A number of the theme sessions will be led by a renowned choir conductor.
During internships (two per year) you join a project in consultation with NKK. In an a-cappella project, this involves singing along during rehearsals. In some cases, for example, in the case of a large ensemble or for J.S. Bach's Weinacht Oratorio or St Matthew Passion, you get the chance to also sing in the concerts. During these internships you will be guided by a coach from NKK from your voice group.
Participation in the NNK NXT project can be part of the specialisation in consultation.
As part of your Research, you will conduct research on a topic within the ensemble or choir repertoire or its performance practice. Your research supervisor is a specialist assigned to you within the subject of your research.
Within the domain of Professional Integration, you will develop a view of your future professional practice. You design a project that is linked to your research theme, you will receive lessons in project management and, if possible, you will be guided by a coach from NKK to carry out your project. If the progress is sufficient, you may have the opportunity to carry out your Professional Integration Activity as part of NKK's context programming.
