Radio West Concert – Classical wind instruments play Mozart
In the 18th century almost every royal court had a Harmoniemusik ensemble, a group of six to twelve wind instrumentalists who would perform arrangements of popular operas, as well as original compositions. This concert features parts of Mozart's grandiose Gran Partita for 13 wind instruments, interspersed with works for smaller wind ensembles by his contemporaries. The conductors are Donna Agrell and Eric Hoeprich.
