Daniel Quiles Cascant was born in july of 1991 in Muro del Alcoy (Alicante, Spain). He started his trombone studies at the age of 10 years old in the music School of the town. In 2009 he started his Bachelor studies in the Trombone Class of Rotterdam and Amsterdam Trombone Class with the teachers Pierre Volders, Jörgen van Rijen, Remko de Jager and Ben van Dijk with whom also completed his Master Studies.
He has been awarded in Trombone Solo Competitions like 1st Price of the XI National Competition for Young Performers city of Xativa (2007, Valencia) and the 1st Price of the XIV Young Performers Competition “Ruperto Chapi” in Villena (2008, Alicante). Also awarded in chamber music competitions like: Winner of the Trombone Quartet Competition of the International Trombone Association (2015, ITA) with the “Atlantic Trombone Quartet” and winner of the Emory Remington Trombone Choir Competition (2013, ITA) with the “Conservatorium van Amsterdam Trombone Class”.
In 2018/19 Daniel became an academist at the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Nowadays he keeps joining European Orchestras such as The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra (NL), WDR Symphony Orchestra (Germany), Gulbenkian Orchestra (Portugal) and Radio National Orchestra of Spain among others.
He is member of the chamber music groups Bruckner Quartet and Nineties Trombone Ensemble and since 2018 Daniel is first Trombone at the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra (Belgium).
