Riccardo Marogna works with electronics, wind instruments, electroacoustic improvisation, and fixed media. He has performed both solo and with various ensembles, presenting live sets in many countries including Italy, Germany, Belgium, The Netherlands, France, Switzerland, Poland, United States.
His works have been featured also at NIME (US), MusLab 2016 (Mexico), Matera Intermedia Festival (Italy, 2017), Biennale Musica (Venice, 2008), Experimental Intermedia (NY), Auditorium Parco Della Musica (Rome).
He has been a member of the Sound and Music Computing Group - Centro di Sonologia Computazionale at the University of Padua (Italy), where his research has focused on physical modeling and multimodal interfaces. He has authored and co-authored several papers published by international journals and conferences such as JASA, IEEE, NIME, DAFX.
He holds a Master‘s degree from the Institute of Sonology, a Bachelor in Jazz and Improvisation from the Conservatoire G. Frescobaldi in Ferrara (IT), a Master’s Degree in Electronic Engineering from the University of Padua (IT). He further specialized in Computer Music at IRCAM (Paris).
