Wim Voogd

Docent Piano

Wim Voogd has studied piano with Gérard van Blerk and Michael Davidson at the conservatories of The Hague and Rotterdam. He also studied organ and church-music with Johann Th. Lemckert.

He concentrates at playing chambermusic: he performs piano-solo with preference for the works of J. S. Bach, F. Schubert and the well-known and unknown French composers. He also collaborates with various vocalists (Nathalie Mees; Bauwien van der Meer) and instrumentalists (Arthur Kerklaan- trumpet, Carla Bos – harp). With flutist Froukje Wiebenga and viola-player Frank Goossens he forms the “Koetshuistrio”, which has performed many works available for this instrumental combination.

Wim Voogd teaches piano at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and works as a choir-conductor and organist at the “Driekoningengemeenschap” in The Hague.
