International collaboration
‘February saw the Composition Department host a joint concert with the Janáček Academy of Music and Performing Arts from Brno, a highlight of international musical exchange.’

Festival of creativity
‘The Student Present Festival in March empowered students to curate and execute their own projects, enhancing cross-departmental collaboration and event production skills.’

Local collaboration
‘Our symphony orchestra joined forces with Dutch artists for the 50 Haagse Hits Orchestra project, celebrating local music and strengthening our ties with the Dutch music scene.’

Spring Festival of new music
‘April’s annual Spring Festival, organised by the Composition Department, featured new music including Pierre Boulez’s Derive 2 and student compositions, performed by our students.’

Ensemble Academy: a year of growth
‘The Ensemble Academy enjoyed a year filled with stimulating projects and collaborations, including the Musica Sacra Kunstfestival in Maastricht, and side-by-side concerts with the New European Ensemble and Ensemble Klang.’

Inclusive learning sessions
‘The Ensemble Academy’s Tuesday evening sessions, led by our own teachers and international experts, were opened to all Classical, Composition, Conducting, and Vocal students for the first time, fostering a vibrant community.’

Looking forward
