Master Specialisation Complementary Subject Classical Music, Early Music and Jazz
The Complementary Subject is intended for musicians who would like to combine their main subject studies in the Master programme with additional lessons on their instrument in one of the other departments, being either the Classical, Early Music or Jazz department.
Students following a Complementary Subject work with teachers from the other chosen department. Students applying for the Complementary Subject Early Music must choose an instrument that is either the same as or closely related to the instrument of their main subject in the Classical or Jazz department.
If you are admitted to the Complementary Subject, you will have 60 minutes of main subject lessons and 25 minutes of Complementary Subject lessons each week.
Students enter the programme for a duration of one year. Both prospective master students and master 1 students can apply.
